He recently revealed he had
become sober for the first time in eight years.
And SNL star Pete Davidson
playfully spoke about attending rehab during an appearance on Weekend Edition
on Saturday.
While it was unclear how
much exactly Pete was joking about during his appearance, the 23-year-old was
light-hearted as he spoke about his experience in treatment, which he said
offered horse therapy and cost him $40,000.
The comic joked he decided
what rehab to go to while under the influence.
‘Well, I went to rehab, and
here’s some advice: never pick the rehab you want to go to while you’re high!
‘Cause that’s what I did. I Googled “rehab” and picked the first place that
popped up.
‘And what caught my eye
about this one was their main attraction was horse therapy!’
The star joked he wasn’t
even entirely sure what horse therapy was.
‘I’m not a hundred percent sure, but I think
it’s when you pet horses and you look at them and like, heal through their
horsi-ness. You pet them and look ’em in the eye, and you’re like, “You’re
trapped. I’m trapped. We’ll get through this.”
Pete then advised against
attending rehab that offers horse therapy, as it will cost a pretty penny.
‘Do not go to a rehab that
has horse therapy, if you do, it will cost you forty grand!’
Pete’s appearance comes
after he opened up in March after disappearing from Instagram and deleting every
picture he had ever posted.
The comedian, who is dating
Larry David’s daughter Cazzie David, shared a heartfelt and honest Instagram
message about his struggle with addiction.
